The SAT course at ThinkTank definitely helped me to achieve a higher score on the test. Spending the time to do all the practice tests paid off because I was able to learn from the mistakes I made and make sure not to commit the same errors again. Also, Paul and David taught us useful techniques to approach certain types of problems that made answering the questions a lot easier.
For example, for the critical reading passages, underlining important phrases and marking the lines beforehand allows you to get straight to the point and not get thrown off by misleading answers. We also learned ways to eliminate wrong answers which made the percentage of picking the correct one much greater. But the area the class helped me improve the most on was writing. In the beginning, my writing score hovered around the 600ˇs, but for the real test, I scored a 750 and only answered one wrong on the multiple choice. David helped identify many tricks that often appear in the sentences and taught us ways to avoid obvious mistakes. With this help and lots of practice, my writing score was higher than I ever imagined. Iˇm extremely thankful my parents asked me to take this class.
Without it, I probably would not have scored as high as I did and had to retake the SAT again.
